Our strength in healthcare innovation empowers us to build a world where complex diseases are prevented, treated, and cured, where treatments are smarter and less invasive, and solutions are personal. Through our expertise in Innovative Medicine and MedTech, we are uniquely positioned to innovate across the full spectrum of healthcare solutions today to deliver the breakthroughs of tomorrow, and profoundly impact health for humanity. Learn more at https://www.jnj.com **Job Function:** R&D Operations **Job Sub** **Function:** Product Development Testing **Job Category:** Professional **All Job Posting Locations:** Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom **Job Description:** **_Core Responsibilities:_** _Meet with lead engineer or project engineers on project to understand performance requirements and to determine project design of experiments and pre-clinical studies_ _Schedule required testing in reliability development lab_ _Assure tests are run properly_ _Report results to requestor_ _Run tests whenever necessary to support program timing_ _Document performance of test procedures and interprets results obtained from various studies_ _Coordinate maintenance and calibration of relevant test equipment in lab_ _Coordinate fixture development and fabrication when required_ _Maintain working knowledge of reliability development lab test equipment_ _Train other associates in reliability development lab test equipment knowledge_ _Develop new test procedures and methods to assure program reliability objectives are being met_ _Provide summary updates to project engineers and reliability development lab personnel_ _Document new product test needs_ _Report to lab manager or project team_ _Coordinate design and testing by outside laboratories_ _Evaluate and replicate test data provided by third parties, ensuring quality of data and appropriateness of test methods_ _Develop and administer company rules and regulations in compliance within GLP and GMP_ _Support project teams with testing assistance and to assure timely completion of projects_ _Act as consultant on test related issues for project team_ _Assist in development of test schedules_ Under limited supervision and general direction, and in accordance with all laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines: **_POLICIES:_** _Know and follow EES policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility_ **_TRAINING:_** _Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time-period. Training is required for changes in existing policies and procedures, for new assignments and for implementation of new policies and procedures_ **_._** _Complete required periodic re-training in areas such as safety and environmental_ **_SAFETY:_** _Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within work area. Promote safety to all associates that enter work area_ **Requirements Of The Role** Graduated within the last **2 years** with a minimum of a bachelor's degree (2.1 or above) in one of the following **Engineering** or scientific fields (or related): + Mechanical Engineering + Medical Engineering + Bio Engineering + Product Engineering + Material Science + Manufacturing Engineering **Key Skills And Competencies** These can have been displayed through education, project work, work experience or life experience. + Excellent team working skills + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Intellectual curiosity + Pro-active approach to achieving success + Drive to shape an inclusive and equitable working culture + A strong desire to work in Orthopaedics + Eligible to work within the UK on a permanent basis
