The Graduate Assistant for Strength and Conditioning will assist the Strength and Conditioning staff in developing, implementing, and monitoring performance programs for all intercollegiate athletic teams at Lincoln Memorial University. This position provides hands-on experience in strength and conditioning, athletic performance, and sport science, while pursuing a graduate degree at LMU. We are looking to bring in two graduate assistants in the Spring of 2026.

Responsibilities

•Assist in designing and implementing sport-specific strength, speed, agility, flexibility, and conditioning programs for assigned athletic teams. •Instruct, supervise, and monitor student-athletes during training sessions to ensure proper technique, safety, and effectiveness. •Collaborate with athletic trainers, sport coaches, and other athletics staff to ensure the health, safety, and performance development of student-athletes. •Assist with facility management, including equipment setup, cleaning, and maintenance of the weight room. •Track and record student-athlete progress, including strength testing, conditioning benchmarks, and performance metrics. •Provide guidance to student-athletes on nutrition, recovery, and general health and wellness. •Maintain compliance with all NCAA, South Atlantic Conference, and University policies and procedures. •Support the overall mission and goals of the athletics department and the University.

Bachelor’s degree Admission into a graduate program at Lincoln Memorial University (required). Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain). National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC)
