Salary Details:

This position is open to Concord Graduate Students only. Full tuition waiver plus competitive stipend provided. May be renewable for additional academic terms based on satisfactory performance of duties and student enrollment as a CU graduate student.

Required Education:

4 Year Degree The Graduate Assistant for Cross Country & Track will play a vital role in supporting the coaching staff in all aspects of the cross country and track & field programs. This is a 10-month position designed for a graduate student pursuing a degree at Concord university.

The GA will assist in training, recruiting, event planning, administrative tasks, and athlete development for both men’s and women’s teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical coaching experience while working with athletes in a dynamic and competitive collegiate athletic environment.

Duty/Responsibility Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily practice sessions for cross country and track & field athletes. Provide guidance and support during training sessions, including warm-ups, drills, and conditioning. Attend and assist with team practices, workouts, and competitions (including travel, if needed). Monitor athletes’ physical and academic progress and communicate with the coaching staff to ensure overall success. Assist with recruiting efforts, including identifying and evaluating potential student-athletes. Attend recruiting events and help with campus visits for prospective athletes. Assist with meet preparation and coordination, including entries, travel arrangements, and logistics. Assist with organizing team meetings, events, and communication with athletes. Aid in the planning and execution of team camps, fundraising events, and community outreach programs. Other Duties as assigned by the Head Men’s and Women’s XC and Track Coach, and Athletic Directors

This is a 10-month position designed for a graduate student pursuing a degree at Concord university.

      Minimum Education Bachelor's Required Licenses/Certification Driver License

 

  USATF Officials Certification (Preferred)   Required Skills Working knowledge of and familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills.
