Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Cleaning and sanitizing topping, sauce and bakery equipment as required. Operating cleaning equipment such as the tote washer, floor scrubber and high-pressure cleaning devices. Disassemble / Reassemble processing equipment in a timely manner. Ensuring equipment passes pre-operating inspections and re- cleans as needed. Disposal of topping, sauce, and bakery waste. Cleaning moving and unguarded equipment in such as manner to prevent personal injury, equipment damage and production downtime. Ensuring hand and foot bath containers are filled at start-up. Ensuring hand soap, paper towels, gloves, and smocks are available for daily start-ups. Maintaining sanitary conditions in the washroom, chemical room, compacter area, welfare areas offices, maintenance areas and plant grounds. Working safely (wearing PPE and reporting unsafe conditions). Applying LOTO devices as needed. Support the plant’s Safety, Quality and Cost initiatives. Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader or Supervisor. Follow Safety Guidelines in accordance with Safe Practices and Job Safety Analysis.Expected Experience & Required Skills
Must be able to work in hot/cold, soiled, and wet environment continuously. Must be able to lift 10 to 40 pounds regularly and on occasions up to 50 pounds. Able to work a flexible schedule and overtime hours when needed. Understand basic USDA food safety practices (GMP’s). Knowledge and ability to operate pneumatic and basic tools battery-operated drills, adjustable wrenches, and open/box wrenches for the purpose of line assembly. Must have basic reading comprehension skills in English or Spanish. Must be able demonstrate identification of chemicals and proper PPE. Perform basic operation (start/stop) or topping/sauce/bakery equipment via control panels in order to perform cleaning duties. Must have a good attendance record. Must be able to climb to heights as high as 50 feet to access and clean storage vessels.
