\nPosition Description:
\nThe Government Security Specialist (GSS) must be capable of supporting management initiatives and working effectively in a team environment. The GSS will serve as the primary point of contact for all industrial security matters at ARServices’ Alexandria, VA location. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the secure facility in full compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable directives. The GSS will support and liaise with government security counterparts to ensure proper protection of classified materials and spaces.

\nA qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:\n\n\tServe as the primary Facility Security Manager (FSM) for the Alexandria site in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 and internal Standards, Practices and Procedures (SPP).\n\tOversee daily facility security operations, access control, and physical security procedures and maintenance for the secured areas, ensuring compliance with ICD 705 and NISPOM requirements.\n\tEnsure compliance with DCSA requirements, conduct self-inspections, and coordinate DCSA assessments and visits.\n\tCoordinate facility security procedures, accreditation packages, and updates to Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs).\n\tMaintain and update SPP and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).\n\tOperate intrusion detection systems (IDS), access control systems (ACS), electronic visitor control log and visitor security access, and CCTV.\n\tDevelop SOPs, checklists, emergency action plans, and facility drawings.\n\tAdminister training programs for initial security briefings, annual refresher training, and debriefings.\n\tInterface with government security representatives (e.g., DCSA, DTRA SSO) to ensure timely coordination of security actions.\n\tSupport incident response, reporting of security violations, and continuous monitoring activities.\n\tResponsible for the accountability of classified items stored on site and the steady flow of classified material in and out of the office. \n\tInterpret security regulations and provide security expertise with respect to classified material safeguarding and handling; classification markings, receipt/accountability, Security Information Management System (SIMS) database entries, classified mailing, courier letters, secure faxing, material generation, copies, and classified destruction. \n\tAssist with security program self-inspections and preparations related to client inspections. Prepare and maintain official records auditable by US Government representatives. \n\tServe as a helpdesk POC for cleared staff members. Responds to questions and requests that require basic knowledge of security procedures with creative problem solving. \n\tCoordinate classified meetings and provide security clearance information for classified visits/certifications to government and cleared industry facilities. \n\tHandle and maintain all Foreign Travel inquiries for cleared staff. \n\tCreate security educational materials; provide briefings; facilitate security awareness training. \n\tProvide proposal support as needed to include secure room access. \n\tAssist with UL2050 semi-annual requirements for secure spaces to include escorting into secure spaces. \n\tMaintain and update secure room rosters for secure areas. \n\tAssist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) with the overall security program.\n\tAbility to work independently and cohesively within a team atmosphere.\n\nSecurity Clearance Requirement:\n\n\n\tActive Top Secret (SCI eligibility preferred)\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n\n\tU.S. citizenship.\n\tBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.\n\tMinimum 5 years of experience managing industrial security in a DoD contractor environment.\n\tCompletion of FSO training through CDSE (or ability to complete within 30 days).\n\tStrong knowledge of the NISPOM, ICD 705, UL2050, and security clearance systems (DISS, NISS, NBIS).\n\tDemonstrated experience managing SCIF or Closed Area operations.\n\tExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\n\tExperience supporting DTRA or related DoD programs.\n\tPrevious experience with SCIF accreditation processes.\n\tSecurity certifications (e.g., ISP, SFPC, SPeD credentials).\n\nARServices is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
