We are seeking a talented individual to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team at Mercer. This role can be based in Phoenix, DC, or Louisville and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
As a Government Consultant Project Manager, you will manage complex projects and collaborate across levels and specialty groups (sectors) to ensure that the project is completed with a high level of client satisfaction, as well as on time and within budget and scope.
Mercer’s Government Human Services Consulting (GHSC) practice focuses on the unique and challenging needs of the public health care sector, providing a wide array of consulting services to local, state, and federal government agencies across the country. GHSC helps clients achieve better outcomes, develop and deploy defensible strategies, and reshape the delivery of health care.

Manage complex, broad, and/or multi-year projects from end-to-end to deliver business outcomes, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget and to a high level of client satisfactionWork closely within high visibility projects and regularly interface with internal senior management; identify subject matter experts on the project(s) at handBuild and maintain effective relationships with senior business leadershipBecome a trusted advisor and help facilitate timely decision making and trade-offs throughout all relevant project stagesNegotiate resource requirements with responsible management when faced with conflicts in prioritiesWhat you need to have:
BA/BS degree3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare/managed careProven ability to drive moderately complex projects to completionStrong stakeholder management and communications skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment.Ability to work independently and on a team; ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectivesStrong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with SmartsheetWhat makes you stand out?

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $68,500 to $137,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
