About the role:
Provide leadership across Caribbean & Central America (CCA) in Governance, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Risk Management. The role drives Pioneering Grain to Glass sustainability, assures compliance to Diageo standards, and protects the company’s reputation.
CCA generates 300m NSV and £123.4m OP – the most profitable LAC market.
Operating model: distributor-based RTC, 57 partners, 37 countries, 80m people.
Panama serves as innovation and warehousing hub.
Scotch = 70% of NSV; Diageo is the #1 player in Premium & Super Premium segments.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead Grain to Glass sustainability pillar, reporting benchmarks to senior customers.
Handle Governance agenda: risk assessments, audits, crisis management, RCPS.
Lead all aspects of License to Operate and Risk Management training for co-packers.
Partner with country offices (PTY, DR, CR) on risk and compliance activities.
Provide functional leadership for new production & innovation projects.
Develop cases for Governance initiatives, linking to financial/risk impact.
Drive capability-building, training, and organizational learning.
Deliver independent assurance vs. GRMS and LTO audits.
Experience / skills required:
Degree or equivalent experience in engineering/science; postgraduate preferred.
5–7 years in operations/technical/supply chain in CPG or alcohol industry.
Bilingual Spanish & English.
Experience with FSC22000 (required), ISO9001 (preferred).
Strong leadership in change management & cross-functional influence.
Knowledge of EHS, Quality, packaging, and alcohol production processes.
Other RequirementsTravel ~30% of the time.
Ability to influence without authority, working across distributors, suppliers, co-packers.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
