Job DescriptionWe are seeking a visionary and decisive Governance Lead to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the Governance Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our corporate governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance our organizational effectiveness.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive governance policies and procedures aligned with international best practices and local regulationsLead the design and execution of risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks across the organizationCollaborate with senior leadership to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for governance and complianceOversee the development and implementation of compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standardsConduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of governance processes and identify areas for improvementProvide expert guidance and support to the Board of Directors and executive management on governance-related mattersLead and mentor a team of governance and compliance professionals, fostering a culture of integrity and accountabilityDevelop and deliver training programs to enhance governance awareness and skills across the organizationPrepare and present comprehensive reports on governance performance and risk management to senior leadership and stakeholdersStay abreast of emerging governance trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in the Middle East region and globallyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field; Master's degree preferredMinimum 10 years of experience in governance, risk management, or related fields, with a proven track record of leadership in a corporate environmentIn-depth knowledge of corporate governance principles, risk management frameworks, and compliance best practicesStrong understanding of regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East regionExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic insightsOutstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levelsDemonstrated experience in developing and implementing governance policies and proceduresProficiency in project management and the ability to lead cross-functional teamsStrong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team membersProfessional certifications such as Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) are highly advantageousFluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plusAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
