**Description:** This position will end November 2025. The equipment operator, under supervision of the golf course superintendent, performs work involving the use of small and large equipment, including tractors, mowers, backpack blowers, weed eaters, and other maintenance equipment. **What You'll Do:** + Operate various types of equipment, including but not limited to walk behind mowers, triplex mowers, large area reel and rotary style mowers, blowers, sprayers, various heavy equipment and hand-held tools and equipment. + May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her supervisor. + Ensures equipment fluids are checked daily; refills fuel daily; cleans equipment daily; and reports equipment problems or failures to manager immediately. + Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the manager or assistant superintendent and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility. **The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing.
