Amazon.com
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers, including the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
The AWS Global Network Deployment (GND) team is searching for a passionate and talented senior Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to lead large-scale, complex continuous improvement programs that support GND in delivering network capacity for customers. You will shape program strategy, identify process optimization opportunities, and deliver scalable solutions across multiple parallel workstreams to accelerate capacity delivery.
Key job responsibilities
• Own large-scale, complex deployment programs end-to-end, defining scope, milestones, and success criteria while continuously improving delivery efficiency and quality.
• Drive cross-organizational alignment by influencing stakeholders across vendor management, sourcing, engineering, and operations teams to deliver unified deployment outcomes.
• Proactively mitigate program risks, manage dependencies across parallel workstreams, and design scalable mechanisms, automation, and continuous improvement processes that drive deployment velocity across GND.
• Own executive-level and customer-facing communications including MBRs, narratives, business cases, status reports, and trend analyses that drive program visibility, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.
• Mentor and develop junior program managers, sharing best practices and raising the program management bar across the organization.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), training documents, playbooks, and program management toolkits to support operational excellence.
• Dive deep into metrics and trends to identify improvement opportunities, resolve complex problems, and drive strategic recommendations for both near-term actions and long-term program evolution.
