Main responsibilities:

Deliver friendly, courteous, and professional customer service in the General Merchandise (GM/HBC) department Lead, train, schedule, and supervise GM/HBC stock clerks to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity Manage department merchandising, including shelf conditions, signage, pricing, and promotional execution Maintain inventory accuracy through daily counts, ordering, paperwork, and backroom organization Ensure department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company standards Handle customer concerns related to product availability, pricing, or service issues Safeguard and manage high‑value and sensitive merchandise Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations Support operational execution, including recalls, expired product removal, and loss prevention

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Soft skills: 

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills Ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members Professional, courteous, and solution‑oriented demeanor Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast‑paced environment Dependable, organized, and detail‑oriented

Competencies: 

People leadership and scheduling Merchandising and inventory management Operational execution and follow‑through Customer issue resolution Time management and prioritization Policy and procedure compliance

Knowledge: 

Retail merchandising standards and practices Inventory control and ordering processes Product pricing, labeling, and signage Store layout and General Merchandise/HBC products Company customer service expectations and safety practices

Abilities: 

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to multitask effectively under time pressures Ability to operate pallet jacks, balers, and other approved electrical equipment Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written)

Other requirements: 

Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24‑hour operation Ability to meet physical demands, including standing/walking for extended periods and lifting up to 55 lbs Ability to work in a temperature‑controlled retail environment with occasional outdoor exposure Must comply with company dress code and safety standards
