_This role is categorized as_ **_HYBRID_** _. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM - Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits._

As **Assistant Brand Manager** , you’ll drive brand growth, positioning and stewardship across channels with purposeful, clear, compelling, on-brand, and consistent communications. You’ll collaborate across the enterprise – with communications, design, creative, product, brands, and business partners – working to ensure our brand initiatives are executed to the highest standards.

You’re able to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content across multiple channels, and are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and brand consistency. And you’re someone who takes initiative, asks thoughtful questions, and isn’t afraid to propose new ideas or be a maker.
**What you'll do at GM:**
+ Act as a brand steward, working cross-functionally with internal and agency teams to amplify GM’s brand story through fresh, memorable, digestible, and shareable content, ensuring all marketing communications align with our brand voice, visual identity, and messaging guidelines
+ Support the production of effective marketing content through brief creation and constructive creative feedback
+ Create brand guidelines, processes, and strategic frameworks that enable consistent brand expression across all touchpoints, developing tools and processes that help teams maintain brand integrity while fostering creative innovation
+ Govern GM brand visual identity and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders
+ Serve as the GM brand voice, defending the corporate identity in cross-brand and cross-enterprise initiatives (e.g., corporate events, facility signage, sponsorships, etc.)
+ Manage GM Brand assets in a centralized asset library
+ Own the GM.com narrative strategy, partnering with internal partners and our UX team to drive our compelling editorial calendar and publishing cadence
+ Shape media and search strategies that are on-brand and aligned with best practices; and evaluate, refresh, and maintain search optimization strategies
+ Embrace and explore emerging AI solutions (like Runway, Adobe products or similar) to deliver creative production efficiencies
+ Partner with the GM Research team on brand health research
+ Partner with Marketing & Applied Sciences on dashboard analytics for a regular cadence of stakeholder reporting
+ Support the development of presentation materials, status updates, and campaign reports for stakeholder meetings
+ Stay up to date on the latest marketing trends and best practices, both in and out of the automotive industry and across competitors
**Additional Job Description**
**You’ll sweep us off our feet if you have…**
+ 4+ years working as a Marketer, Brand Strategist, Brand Planner, Brand Consultant, Advertising Manager, Content Strategist, Social Media Manager, or relevant role, preferably with experience from a leading agency or brand
+ A familiarity with social content creation (concepting/pitching, production, publishing, and measurement)
+ A strong writing background that demonstrates ability to articulate brand voice in social media and business needs (briefs and presentations)
+ A clear creative POV and eye to aid in visual storytelling
+ Strong understanding of user needs like motivations and behaviors, with the ability to translate them into engaging and actionable storytelling
+ An eye for details and solving the tough challenges
+ Ability to produce great work efficiently and flexibly adapt to an ever-changing industry landscape, including the use of new technologies
+ A keen interest or curiosity for the future of automotive
+ A self-starter with the passion to create, innovate, and stay organized while doing it
**Required qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree required; Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Liberal Arts, or similar preferred
+ 4+ years of experience in the Marketing, Brand, or Advertising space
+ Proficiency with digital marketing tools
+ Excellent written and verbal communication
+ Can be in office in Warren, MI on a weekly basis
