Global Workplace Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Global Workplace Strategist to join our Corporate Real Estate team. This role drives global workplace planning and strategy to enhance space utilization, employee experience, and business alignment across a diverse portfolio. The Strategist leads space programming, design standards, and workplace transformations while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners. This is a hybrid position located at our General Office in Pittsburgh and will report to the Category Manager, Real Estate.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Real Estate Manager in various real estate activities including, but not limited to: site strategy, occupancy reporting, feasibility analysis, fit-out cost analysis, employee engagement, and design planning.

Design and implement space planning strategies and design standards that align with organizational objectives. Lead space utilization studies and optimize real estate footprint to support hybrid and flexible work models and improve the employee experience.

Partner with stakeholders to translate needs into effective space solutions. Partner with Global Space Planner to develop conceptual layouts using AutoCAD and create test fits and blocking diagrams to support site selection and inform strategic real estate decisions.

Partner with Global Space Planner to create, maintain, and evolve global design guidelines, best practices, and workplace standards that ensure consistency across locations.

Apply building codes, ADA requirements, and sustainability best practices to design and planning, while staying informed on emerging trends in workplace design, technology, and workforce behavior to guide strategic decisions. Develop and coordinate move plans encompassing space assignments, construction requirements, cost estimates, and schedules.

Develop detailed RFPs for office and workplace projects, clearly outlining scope and deliverables for Architecture & Engineering (A&E) firms to bid.

Support the selection of vendors based on the unique needs and complexities of office workplace design and renovation projects.

Review A&E project documentation with a focus on verifying that office design scopes align with workplace standards and business requirements.

Collaborate with Facilities and Project Managers to oversee construction projects, acting as the internal point of accountability for schedule adherence and milestone achievement.

Qualifications (4-6 maximum bullet points in this section)

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or related field.

At least 5+ years in corporate real estate, workplace strategy, space planning, or architectural design within global organizations.

Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with IWMS is a plus. Strong knowledge of construction processes, tenant improvement, commercial leases, building codes, and regulations.

Demonstrated skills in project and vendor management, financial acumen, and change management.

Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
