As a key member of the Global Procurement organization, you will be responsible for supporting the strategy planning and sourcing of Ecolab’s global corporate travel program, overseeing an annual spend of over $200 million. This role emphasizes strategic sourcing, supplier performance, policy compliance, and traveler satisfaction, ensuring cost-effective and policy-aligned travel solutions that deliver value to Ecolab.
Your Mission
Collaborate with Corporate and Procurement stakeholders to shape and execute a long-term global travel sourcing strategy that aligns with evolving business needs, market dynamics, and industry trends. You will lead sourcing initiatives across travel categories (airlines, hotels, car rental, rail, TMCs and car fleet), ensuring robust supplier performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
Sourcing & Category Management
Define sourcing strategies and lead procurement initiatives for travel categories, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.Identify cost-saving opportunities and support negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.Collaborate closely with category managers and regional procurement leads to ensuring alignment and execution of sourcing strategies.Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key travel suppliers, ensuring alignment with Ecolab’s business objectives.Establish and monitor supplier KPIs (cost, service, compliance), and lead corrective action plans as needed.Drive demand management and user behavior improvements to enhance value delivery and cost efficiency.Integrate sustainability and safety into travel sourcing practices, partnering with SH&E to ensure traveler well-being and crisis readiness.Governance, Reporting & Communication
Deliver regular reporting on cost savings, cost avoidance, and category KPIs.Ensure effective communication and training for travelers on travel tools, policies, and sourcing updates.Maintain governance models and dashboards to track supplier performance and sourcing outcomes.Required Experience & Competencies
University degree in Business, Procurement, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in global or regional business services procurement within a multinational environment.Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.#LI-EU
