**Job Description Summary** As a member of the Global Transportation team, you’ll work on an international team that contributes to GE Aerospace’s transportation & logistics excellence. You will develop a deep understanding of the business’ logistical needs and the impact of our operations and resolve some of our biggest transportation challenges. You’ll execute our transportation processes to ensure our supply chain’s logistics operate smoothly and use a data driven, analytical approach to resolve issues and improve our performance. This role will work a standard work schedule, Monday through Friday. **Job Description** **Key Responsibilities:** + Execute the MRO transportation strategy through process ownership and continuous improvement at GE Aerospace distributions centers, vendors, and MRO sites. + Contribute to strategy realization through influence and prioritizing actions with a global team of logistics experts, transportation and logistics suppliers, and internal stakeholders. + Drive a culture focused on customer service, data, and process to attain best in class logistics tactics and cost in all modes of transportation. + Problem solve system & operational constraints, carrier delays, impacting lead time.Lead cross functional working teams to solve complex issues. + Own KPI’s and lead operating cadences as defined by FLIGHT DECK + Develop and maintain standard work; lead local sites to establish, document, and follow standard work. + Provide support for complex shipment transactions, expedites, lost or damaged shipments, to assure timely material delivery. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor of Science (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of logistics experience) + 5 years of logistics experience **Desired Characteristics** + Logistics design contributions for complex, global scale supply chain + Influence suppliers' priorities, investments, and continuous improvement + Senior leadership presence for various in-person or virtual engagements + Long term business planning aligned to company goals + Program management + International Regulations, Compliance & Legal Knowledge + Business Integration and Strategic Influencing + Supplier Management + Transportation, distribution, and logistics + Data Proficiency + Leadership + Systems Proficiency + Change Management + FLIGHT DECK – Skilled GE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
