We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Global Trade Solutions Data product manager

Principal responsibilities

Provide specialist support in handling activities relating to global and country product teams in completing regulatory, governance and policy framework reviews including identification and assessment of business risks
Ensuring compliance to applicable policies, procedures relevant to the GTS product area and domain responsibilities through on-going reviews and assurance processSupport GTS Product Owners in assisting them with maintenance of product offerings by meeting compliance and risk requirements in liaison with global and country risk stewards and product managersDevelop a robust and efficient control environment across GTS product organization to ensure good operational, financial management and compliance to HSBC policy and proceduresProviding effective analysis and governance reporting, tracking of outstanding issues and actionsProactively challenging practices / controls operated by onshore/offshore functions, identifying gaps, and recommend improvement to control environmentEnsure strong compliance to bank policies and procedures and deliver against statutory, regulatory and legal obligations within agreed timelinesAssist the GTS Product teams in management, review and development of policy and procedure related controlsProtect the Bank, CIB, GTS from potential financial and reputation losses by maintaining strict internal controls

An undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in related fieldsSkills that translate to asking the right questions, understanding the tasks, and communicating ideas and actions clearlyExperience of working in project implementation or performing a business analyst role for risk management in one more risk function or deep dive / risk investigation or auditGood analytical skills especially in understanding business processes, PL, client management and product managementStrong at using Microsoft product suite (Excel, Power Point, etc.)Experience in managing and delivering project or programs in your current role is desirableExcellent spoken, written communication skillsGood interpersonal skills required, with an ability to collaborate with colleagues across segments and geographies being essentialGood GTS product knowledge and understanding of GTS product risks is desirable and TM1 and Omnia knowledge is preferredSQL- Ability to create / query relational database efficiently SQL lite, MySQL,Data Cleaning PreparationAbility to handle missing values, outliers, duplicates and inconsistent dataExperience to create / query relational database efficiently SQL lite, MySQL,Programming (typically Python)Data manipulation (Pandas, dplyr), visualization (Matplotlib, ggplot2), and analysis and Automation libraries for Exc
