The Global Technical Support Central (GTS-C) Digital Supervisor is a leadership role in Global Tech Support organization responsible for 3rd and 4th line of tech support within our Central Service organization, enabling New Product Introduction and providing support remote and on-site to our customers. The Digital Lead will be reporting into GTS Central SW & Digital Manager. You will be encouraged to lead global activities which our outside Digital portfolio too.

The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary technical environment, very complex processes to address problems within a multi-cultural team. If you enjoy work with people, introducing new service solutions on top of high-performance systems, this is an excellent opportunity to change the world.

The successful candidate will possess or is able to develop the following combination of education and experience:Experience in People management – consistent track of record in leading small teams over 2 years (Ideally in service/customer centric department) – or experience doing soExperience or affinity with IT, SW or Digital Products.Experience with New Product Introduction processes preferred, Process and Project managementBSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related technical software field.Experience with problem-solving methodology (Example Kepner-Tregoe)Knowledge of electron microscopy and ITIL Service Management will be an advantage

Soft skills typically required will be a combination of adaptive communication (written, verbal) and a proactive and customer centric approach. Proven track record working independently on multiple tasks, while interacting with multi-functional, cross-cultural teams. An outgoing personality, while demonstrating strong influencing/negotiation skills and being able to communicate sophisticated technical/process concepts to various audiences.

What is needed

Excellent communication ability (both face-to-face as via mail) and influencing skills including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences is important to the success in this position

Ability to move strategy into execution including regular report-outsAbility to identify barriers in the team and address systematically via existing processPro-active and customer focused approach. Self-steering and outgoing personality.Proven record to work well with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams

Supervisor Role:

Supervising team of Subject Matter Engineers (including education, training, coaching, empowerment and deployment). Being a role model for others in communication, influencing, and conflict management, support management in change

Acting as an effective champion of the field service organization within the factory (focus on Agile Development & PMP)Resource management to ensure constant quality and output of technical support, using resource planning, prioritization and individual development plansEnsures GTS team results are fulfilled in line with globally accepted IMS documentation and GTS mission.
