As the Global Tax Expert, reporting to the Global Tax Manager you are responsible for the definition and optimisation of the global Tax and transfer pricing compliance framework and underlying processes. You will be involved in legal entity tax matters managed by the EMEA Shared Service Centre located in Belgium and Czech Republic together with the General Ledger team.
This role is offered as an initial 1 year contract, with potential for a permanent role after this fixed term.
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Key point of contact for the Veralto and local tax and transfer pricing teams
+ Mandatory Reporting: Prepare and submit mandatory tax and transfer pricing reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies
+ Regional Tax Support: Provide comprehensive tax support to regions, including APAC, EMEA, NA, and LATAM. This includes advising on local tax issues, ensuring compliance with regional tax laws, and supporting regional tax audits
+ Coordination of Tax Topics: Coordinate common tax topics across regions, facilitating communication and collaboration between regional tax teams to ensure consistent application of tax policies and strategies. Assist in future tax audits in Europe as well as monitoring of global tax audits.
+ Collaboration with External Advisors: Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure the company is up-to-date with the latest tax regulations and best practices. This includes managing relationships with external advisors and coordinating their involvement in tax projects.
+ Support for Tax Projects: Provide support for tax projects initiated by Veralto US. This includes participating in project planning, execution, and monitoring, as well as providing expertise on tax and transfer pricing issues
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ 3-5 years of experience in tax and transfer pricing, in a consultancy firm or in the tax department of multi-national company.
+ Good understanding of transfer pricing rules and experience in operational transfer pricing
+ Good understanding of US tax principles (current and deferred tax)
+ Good understanding of principles of indirect taxation
+ A degree in Tax management or Accounting/Finance
+ Language: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
