This role will be based out of Austin, Texas. Global Strategic Sourcing Manager play a pivotal role at Amazon, leading sourcing engagements across a wide range of business units to enable new initiatives to launch and scale rapidly. Global Strategic Sourcing Manager are expert practitioners in creating competitive environments, and have a strong bias for decision-making rooted in data and analytics. They routinely advise senior Amazon leaders on innovative sourcing strategies that create sustainable, long-term partnerships. They are highly effective communicators, able to articulate the value proposition of partnering with procurement. Key job responsibilities - Establishing strong relationships with internal business partners; building a robust understanding of strategic business direction, requirements and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories. - Supporting execution of sourcing events across all indirect spend categories - Delivering savings and increased spend under management by driving adoption of a automated self-service sourcing technology application - Supporting enhancements and the product development roadmap of the self-service sourcing application based upon purchasing history and stakeholder sourcing requirements - Managing the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation. - Working with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements, focusing on total cost of ownership. - Providing guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies; maintaining procurement ethics in accordance with Amazon’s global policies. Basic Qualifications - Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation - Experience managing spend categories that include three or more of the following: IT Software, IT Services, Corporate Services, Marketing, Contingent labor, Facilities and Real estate, Capital Expenditure and Tail Spend (Indirect Categories) - Experience with practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.) - 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
