Global Sourcing Tools & Processes Governance Manager

Purpose of the position

 

As part of HIAB’s ongoing transformation of global sourcing, we are looking for a Global Sourcing Tools & Processes Governance Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of sourcing governance frameworks. This strategic role is critical in driving standardization, compliance, and operational excellence across global sourcing activities and supplier networks.

The role reports into the VP Sourcing and will closely collaborate with sourcing category management (direct and indirect), supplier development, sustainability, compliance, audit team, HIAB production and distribution units, legal, ESG, and IT

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

1. Governance & Standardization

Design, implement and continuously develop/adjust sourcing governance policies, standards, templates, and end-to-end processes (including SIPOC). Ensure alignment with corporate compliance requirements, including ESG, supplier codes of conduct, and trade regulations. Lead standardization initiatives across sourcing templates and contract frameworks. Represent the sourcing function during internal and external audits; manage corrective action plans and ensure timely closure. Align Sourcing processes to Hiab standards and ensure sourcing processes link to HIab global processes such as New Product Development etc 

 

2. Sourcing Tools & Digital Enablement

Oversee sourcing systems landscape (e-sourcing, contract lifecycle management, spend analytics). Manage integration and governance of sourcing documentation and digital communication platforms to enable data-driven, automated workflows. Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders to increase adoption and process efficiency. Identify sourcing system needs, actively seek ways to automate and improve ways of working through implementation of new tools and systems 

 

3. Market Intelligence & Supplier Insights

Monitor global sourcing trends, regulatory developments, and geopolitical risks to inform sourcing strategies. Conduct supply market analysis, cost driver benchmarking, and category intelligence to support decision-making. Develop and maintain reporting frameworks to provide actionable insights for sourcing and business leadership. Provide the sourcing team and wider company with regular reports and market guidance to support decision making and strategic direction 


4. Risk & Compliance Management

 

 Implement supplier risk frameworks in line with HIAB standards.  Ensure sourcing practices are compliant with evolving ESG regulations and internal policies.

 

5. Capability Development

Drive professional development within the sourcing community by creating structured training programs on governance, tools, and negotiation excellence. Foster a continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing culture within global sourcing.

 

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline. Proven experience (minimum 5–7 years) in strategic sourcing, procurement governance, or sourcing excellence within a global organization. Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, ESG, trade regulations, and risk management in sourcing. Experience in implementing or managing sourcing software tools Experience in team management Solid project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management capabilities. Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are an asset
