Job Description
As a Global Senior Merchandiser, you are customer centric, and you are responsible for creating the best product for your customer group.
• You have end-to-end ownership over from sourcing, product development, order execution and follow-up, ensuring delivery of the best customer offer.
• You are responsible for understanding competitive environment and getting the correct balance between the expectations of the customer and the objectives of the company's strategy.
• You act as a critical link between buying office and suppliers. Understand how to optimize supplier performance and work on contingency plan in all aspects. In day-to-day communication with buying office, you set strategy and plan.
• You continuously focus, what is next, conduct market research for innovative ideas and implement to all stakeholders and you are willing to try to make a difference – work towards 3D product (must understand) development and component development flow.
• You are a source of contact with existing and new suppliers, building and maintaining strong relationships with them.
• You monitor suppliers' performance and manage supplier relations related to short and long-term goals of production by considering all success factors such as price, fashion, speed, sustainable material and innovation.
• You are the point of contact and fully responsible for developing the supplier for the customer and product look and details.
• You are in charge of on-time deliveries, sample process, prices, fashion, speed along with a focus of quality and sustainability.
• You work in cooperation with Supply Chain, other brand/assortment groups to secure best production and to optimize procurement procedures.
• You feed the Supply Chain team with your customer group strategy in your country/region and give them the vision to build required capacity. During the business execution, you build cooperation with Supply Chain to align and secure optimized procurement procedures.
• You work independently in any project within a timeline.
QualificationsAs Global Senior Merchandiser, you work closely with the Global Merchandising Manager towards achieving team goals and establishing and maintaining the lines of communication within the team.
• You maintain direct partnership and effective cooperation with all merchandising teams and internal stakeholders. You understand the supply chain strategy and secure a seamless production flow for COS.
• You seek opportunities for cooperation and consolidation in your region and across other production offices.
• You own and communicate the seasonal timeline and critical path, ensuring all milestones from concept to shipment are met.
• You set and manage the short and long-term purchasing strategy and supplier strategy in line with business goals.
• You ensure the merchandising workflow is executed effectively and supports the overall product and brand strategy.
• You are a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process optimization.
