What the day will look like:
As Head of the Global Risk Centre of Excellence, reporting to ABS and Aon’s Global Chief Compliance Officer, some of your key responsibilities will involve:
+ Assisting the Global Chief Compliance Officer with leading all aspects of enterprise risk management at Aon.
+ Supporting the preparation of the annual risk plan for Aon
+ Managing the Global Risk Committee structure and associated governance in line with defined Terms of Reference.
+ Analysing risk reporting from all committees to provide an enterprise view of Aon's top and accelerating risks, trends, risk appetite, and key risk mitigation activities.
+ Supporting the Global Chief Compliance Officer in developing Board and Aon Executive Committee reporting as required.
+ Actively partnering with each Risk Officer to manage the consistent adoption of Aon's risk assessment process.
+ Owning the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, including the design, implementation and change management of any enhancements.
+ Manage the oversight and governance of any escalation process in connection with non-standard risks for risk assessment and consideration within the ERM framework in the most efficient and consistent way.
+ Managing the production, maintenance, version control and publishing of ERM artefacts
+ Developing and managing Global Risk's Aon Avenue page.
+ Managing and developing Centre of Excellence risk team resources.
+ Monitoring market dynamics to support the identification, reporting and management of emerging risks.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
As the Head of the Global Risk Centre of Excellence your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
+ Master’s level qualification in risk management, business studies or related discipline.
+ Experience within a financial services environment operating within a Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit role, including associated corporate governance.
+ Previous experience in people management and leading teams.
+ Knowledge of insurance industry is advantageous.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong leadership skills.
+ Excellent drive, enthusiasm and commitment.
+ Capacity to promptly flex priorities in response to senior stakeholder requirements.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Committed to producing high-quality, consistent, accurate deliverables.
+ Managing complexity effectively and logically.
+ Strong organization, project management and execution skills.
+ Strong team player.
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills.
+ Strength in relationship building and network development across a complex organisation
+ Strong work ethic and tenacity.
+ Motivated to work on own initiative.
+ Good knowledge of Aon structures and solutions is desirable.
