The position

As a Global Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving sustainability initiatives and delivering high-quality environmental assessments. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and sustainability assessments for products and processes, including injectable finished products (IFPs), oral finished products (OFPs), and drug & device manufacturing process changes. Providing data insights and decision support by developing sustainability indices and standardising carbon/toxicity footprint estimates. Supporting the creation of a plastic and waste emission data library for easy access to emission factors. Improving methodologies and processes for environmental assessments, including LCA, and building digitalised tools and visualisation-enhanced processes. Collaborating with internal teams to align LCA frameworks, facilitate data sharing, and democratise environmental assessments across the organisation. Sharing key insights from LCA documentation and supporting the standardisation of carbon and toxicity footprint estimates.


Qualifications

Academic degree (B.Tech/ M.Tech / M.Sc) in chemical engineering or other related science. Training & education in products / process life cycle assessments / carbon assessments / carbon foot printing of products. Formal training (courses or on-the-job) in project management and/or production management. (favorable but not a must). Minimum 5 years of professional experience and minimum 2-3 years of experience in life cycle assessments. Training and proficiency in GaBi software. Solid knowledge and experience in managing business processes and strategy development. Solid understanding of corporate sustainability and global issues, especially within environmental areas. Solid knowledge in production and manufacturing processes and carbon efficiency. Solid experience and demonstrable track record in project management, including the ability to work with discipline and structure, delivering on time and in impeccable quality even under time pressure and tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and seek the knowledge that is needed to solve the task at hand. Detail-oriented and with focus on quality in processes and deliverables. Excellent communication skills; fluent English speaker. Good writing skills, ability to communicate clearly and to the point. Strong team player with the ability to interact with respect and authority at executive and senior management levels. Strong commitment to the Novo Nordisk Way and adherence to the company values. Strong social skills, including cross-cultural understanding and empathy.


About the department

The Sustainability Reporting team is part of the Commercial GBS unit at Novo Nordisk. Based in a dynamic and collaborative environment, this team focuses on managing the company’s internal and external communication on quantitative and qualitative ESG metrics. With a high focus on data quality, the team provides data-driven insights to optimise effectiveness, manage risks, and support business intelligence. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the company’s value chain, the team plays a crucial role in shaping Novo Nordisk’s sustainability journey.
