This role is part of the D&T department of HEINEKEN International and is in Heineken Global Shared Service, Krakow, Poland. Digital Integration platforms act as neural system to enable various business processes across all business units, for our operations in over 190 countries, globally. We enable and empower exchange of millions of messages on daily basis, securely with ultra-low latency. Additionally, our platforms support hundreds of developers across federated/ domain teams in developing and deploying interfaces according to the needs of all Heineken OpCos.
Over the past five years, the successful adoption of standardised Digital Integrations has resulted in a 100-fold increase in monthly message traffic processed through our integration platforms.
Product owner – EDA (Event Driven Architecture) is part of the Digital Integration Tribe management team, in Digital Platforms Portfolio within Digital and Technology Department.
This role, Product Owner – EDA is responsible for the product vision, strategy, roadmap and offers thought leadership thereby demonstrating extreme ownership and exceptional skills to navigate through dynamic situations.
The Digital Integration EDA product team is focused on Solace and Boomi Platforms, offers world-class event-driven, Async API integration possibilities and other relevant capabilities. The product team is responsible for the technical aspects of the platform, DevOps services, architectural policies and guidelines, amongst others. Furthermore, the product team drives the adoption of integration best practices and API first approach, supporting the vision of becoming Best-Connected-Brewer.
The Product Owner is responsible for the product's continuous improvement, operational performance, and financial health, encompassing financial planning, contract management, and partner relationships.
Your responsibilities would include:
• Product vision:
Defining and owning of the product vision, goals and communicating the values, roadmap and release plans
• Strategic Thinking and Leadership:
To embed a new culture of learning, empowerment, rapid experimentation, adaptability and collaboration. Understand how to challenge the battle between the longer-term vision and short-term goals
• Value delivery:
Collaborate with business and end users to define, refine, and manage the product backlog using prioritisation techniques that keep "value at the center." Responsible for the end-to-end development, delivery of capabilities, services, and platform management
• People Leadership:
Support the HEINEKEN standards of performance and talent development, recognise great performance, coach constructively on under-performance together with Chapter lead(s), local HR BP and Tribe Lead.
Financial Management: Develop, oversee, and manage the budget, including annual planning, CAPEX, OPEX, and all other financial aspects
• Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the key liaison for internal and external stakeholders at all levels, overseeing expectation management, negotiations, and communication
• Security:
Ensure security by design, proactively addressing prevention and correction to maintain a secure platform in compliance with global security policies and standards. Implement and uphold cybersecurity measures
• Partner Management:
Oversee the full spectrum of partner relations, including contract management, negotiations, performance oversight, and escalation handling.
You are a good candidate if you have:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science related studies
• Minimum of 12 years of IT experience and min. 3 years hands-on experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a global and enterprise setup
• Experience in an Agile environment, preferably functioning in a Product Team running SCRUM or Kanban
• An entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to connect with internal and external audiences, including senior management, leaders and policy makers
• Sound understanding of Digital Integration Platforms, especially event-driven platforms (e.g., Solace, preferred), Boomi, and integration practices
• Experience managing budgets, roadmaps, value generation, and negotiations without authority.
• Experience in a complex/multinational, multi-location, multi-partner and federated enterprise environment
• PSPO I or II & EBM certification
• Familiarity/experience with API and iPaaS platforms eg Azure APIM, MuleSoft, SAP CI, MFT
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Understanding of complex IT landscapes and how integration enables exchange of huge spikes of transactions and messages, in a global operational setup
• Good understanding of various integration patterns and techniques (API sync & async, iPaaS, MFT, etc)
• Sound experience of event-driven architecture, preferably with Solace or similar enterprise-grade platforms
• Demonstrable experience of product management techniques, value-based prioritisation, risk management, and supplier performance management
• Ability to effectively persuade product goals, vision and progress, strategy & Big Picture Thinking.
• Product Sense, attention to cost to value proposition
• Good understanding of and exposure to working in a large IT & enterprise work culture.
• Affinity to working with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Ability to lead by example, define and drive the agenda with a specific objective in a challenging environment
• Experience of working in a dynamic environment, changing priorities
• Strong experience with stakeholders at various levels of seniority, both internal and external.
