Here, you will make an impact by: + Lead and cultivate a high-performing global team. The team will be instrumental supporting strategic NPI Commercialization projects and harnessing business packaging insights & customer knowledge to provide innovative packaging designs. + Develop and execute packaging development strategies by aligning with a cross-functional internal team and external partners. + Identify & implement a packaging cost savings strategy to unlock significant end-to-end cost savings initiatives, focusing on fewer but more impactful projects + Foster and develop strong partnerships with internal 3M stakeholders, including Manufacturing, R&D, Business Portfolio, Finance and Supply Chain Operations to enable growth opportunities. + Provide technical direction, guidance and coaching to team members and cross-functional stakeholders. + Effectively manage and overcome organizational ambiguity and complexity. Demonstrate resilience and clarity in challenging environments. + Take ownership of outcomes with a strong bias for action, effectively delivering results through collaboration and empowering team members. + Create an inspired and agile team, prioritizing the most critical tasks that drives significant business impact through packaging innovations **Your Skills and Expertise** To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. + Two (2) years of leadership experience leading teams as a manager of people and leading through others in a private, public, government or military environment + Eight (8) years of Packaging Industry related experience in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + Previous experience in Consumer Goods industry with in-depth knowledge of retailer’s market and packaging requirements + Demonstrates a deep understanding of business processes and excels at developing strong relationships with cross-functional partners, fostering collaboration and driving integrated solutions. + Exhibits strong people skills and leadership capabilities, with a proven track record in strategic planning to guide teams towards achieving organizational goals + Possesses a keen desire to challenge the status quo and identify new opportunities to create innovative ways of working and driving continuous improvement and growth + Utilizes effective communication skills and embraces a global mindset, ensuring clear and impactful interactions across diverse teams and international markets + Committed to mentoring and coaching team members, fostering their growth and development to build a stronger, more capable organization + Exhibits strong agile leadership, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to changing circumstances, ensuring the team remains aligned and effective + Exceptional skills in multi-tasking, follow-up, and prioritization, ensuring efficient management of tasks and resources to achieve strategic objectives **Work location:** **On-site, Maplewood, MN** **Travel: May include up** **to 15% domestic/international** **Relocation Assistance: May be authorized** **Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).** **Supporting Your Well-being** 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
