The Position:
At Roche/Genentech Pharma Product Development Global Clinical Operations (PDG), we are determined to transform drug development and realize our Pharma Ambition to deliver 20 transformative medicines addressing diseases with the highest societal burden by 2029. We are looking for a Global Operations Asset Leader to lead and drive the operational delivery of one (or more) of our assets. This people leadership position holds significant accountability for clinical operations strategy and execution as well as enterprise collaboration.

Position Summary:
The Global Operations Asset Leader (GOAL) in PDG at Roche/Genentech is accountable and responsible for the clinical operations delivery of one or more assets in line with budget, timelines and quality expectations, including timely and accurate data entry in our systems at both a study and asset level. One asset comprises multiple clinical studies.
The GOAL is accountable for delivering an Asset’s portfolio of clinical studies within a TA/DA through architecting and translating the overall operational strategy and business needs, in partnership with the appropriate Therapeutic Area and Disease Area Leaders, Country leaders and other key PDG and enterprise senior stakeholders. The Operations Asset Leader will represent the PDG perspective at the Global Development and Lifecycle Teams and will develop and continuously adapt the Asset strategy and tactics to ensure the overall clinical operations delivery meets or exceeds delivery expectations.
As the Operations Asset leader your key responsibilities include:
Align Stakeholders across the Portfolio:
Build, strengthen, and influence a broad multi leveled cross-functional network through collaboration and informed decision-making across early and late-stage development, while providing strategic operational leadership. The stakeholders include, but are not limited to:
PDG: Translate Late Stage Portfolio Committee (LSPC) OnePortfolio priorities into PDG asset delivery while balancing the overall business need, and making informed trade-offs at the asset and study level.
Serve as the decision maker for the operational asset decisions in collaboration with the TA leader, Study leaders and Country leaders to optimize overall portfolio delivery.
Partner closely and leverage PDG’s Analytics and Portfolio Optimization (APO) and Clinical Operations Excellence (COE) expertise to accelerate speed, enhance efficiency and quality, manage budget, improve PTS, ensure a patient- and investigator/site-centric approach including health equity research commitments at the asset level. Drive innovation in clinical operations by thinking of and contributing to the implementation of new approaches in partnership with COE, APO and HBS in order to deliver outcomes that meet and exceed industry best practices.
Accountable for accuracy and timeliness of data in our systems, regardless of who is accountable or responsible for entering.
Partner effectively with PDG Human Biosamples team to support adherence to bioethics, quality and compliance needs of human biosamples in sample collection, storage and destruction.
PD and Roche Enterprise: Collaborate (directly or indirectly) with key leaders across the Roche Enterprise including Global Development Team members (GDLs), Lifecycle Team members), Franchise heads, Genentech Research and Development (gRED) and Pharma Research and Development (pRED) Program Leads, and PDG country representation in end to end asset strategy for delivery of the portfolio..
External Stakeholders: Proactively identify, develop, and maintain collaborative relationships with key external partners, including vendors, always following our sourcing strategy, Therapeutic Area Experts (TAE), and other key development partners like Health Authorities as appropriate.
Collective Leadership with an Enterprise Mindset:
Represent the TA/DA Asset as a contributing member of the Asset Leader Community. Consistently demonstrate and role model collective leadership to serve the larger PDG and PD organization, ultimately in service of patients, investigative sites, and Roche.
Additional Responsibilities:
Work on non-asset project work, such as the Subject Matter Experts (SME) representative in change initiatives, Due Diligence activities and other enterprise and PDG wide initiatives and/or lead improvement projects as discussed and agreed upon with their manager

Qualifications:
10+ years pharmaceutical Clinical Operations experience with operations leadership at the program or asset level.
Strong demonstrable operational awareness including external trends and issues in the global Clinical trials landscape, and development and delivery of large endpoint driven clinical trials
Comprehensive understanding of global Pharma Clinical development in international settings
Demonstrated success using analytics and data-driven decision-making in strategy development and execution
Demonstrates strong communication and collaboration skills and quickly builds relationships across the globe and trust with stakeholders
Proven experience in meeting or exceeding ambitious goals
Track record of expanding access to underserved populations
Experience in leading in a large matrixed organization and in leading a group of direct reports
Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a- dynamic multi function environment including effectiveness when working across teams
Proactively seeks to lead and manage individuals and teams to higher performance.
Recruits and develops high-performing talent.
Fluency in verbal and written English. Other language skills may be an asset
Frequent national or international travel will be required at times. The amount may vary with the role, location and business needs.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
