Job Description

As a Global OEM Technical Consultant (GOTC) you will be responsible for technology adoption at an OEM. This is conducted by supporting Proof of Concept work, architecture review, standard adoption and development. The GOTC provides a foundation for Rockwell Automation's reputation of excellence and knowledge of automation technology.

You will report to the Global OEM Technical Consultant Team Leader and have a hybrid schedule working in either Dusseldorf or Karlsruhe in Germany.

Your Responsibilities:Drive RA technology adoption by developing strong technical and professional trusted relationships with the customerProvide technical expertise and guidance to customers in the development of complex automation solutions (application, product). programming and scripting language, Cloud & Virtualization, Operator Interface, Supervision, Cybersecurity, PLC,Execute Proof of Concepts, design reviews, application programming consulting and assistance, technical demonstration and presentation, focused application training, application notes development, application library code development, and startup engineering or consulting support.Build a long-term, trusted relationship with the implementer level at the assigned OEM'sSupport the adoption of the Rockwell Automation Portfolio / Services

The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience4+ years experience in similar rolesAdvanced knowledge in PLC & HMI, programming and scripting language (C#, JavaScript, HTML & CSS, PowerShell…), Data Exchange and Communication, Cloud and virtualization or CybersecurityWillingness to travel up to 70%

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Able to understand complex processes and overall Machine design and interactionsRelevant industry/segment application knowledge for the focus industry/segment
