**About the role**
+ Solvay Secured Network Team provides a complete and seamless set of network and security services, covering all Solvay industrial and non-industrial sites around the world (70 users sites, including 40 plants, 5 Data Centers, Cloud services). Secured Network Team is part of the Solvay Digital Technology Infrastructure team.
+ The technical environment includes: Wifi, LAN, SD-WAN, SSE, Internet Access, Local FW, Central security for Remote and Cloud Access. All operations Network and Security operations, are delivered by a Network Operation Center.
+ The Global Security Network Engineer will be accountable for:
+ Implementing and maintaining security tools and technologies, including firewalls, SASE, remote access solutions, authentication/authorization systems, and access controls.
+ Identifying, designing, and executing security projects to improve security and detection.
+ Collaborating with security architects to design and implement enhanced security technologies and with all stakeholders involved in the various projects.
+ Defining technical design for Security and Network based on Solvay's standards.
+ Managing Technical resolution on a cyber incident.
+ Following up on Cyber risk resolution for the Secured Network scope.
+ Supporting incident response efforts with the NOC and SOC by providing expertise on network security breaches.
+ Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for network security.
+ Developing and maintaining network security documentation, including policies and procedures.
+ Staying up to date on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to recommend improvements.
+ We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.
**About you**
+ Relevant education degree or equivalent in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a comparable field.
+ Relevant work experience in Network Security Engineering or Global Network Management.
+ Competencies:
+ Certifications on Palo Alto Network technology (On-prem FW, Prisma, SDWAN, Panorama, Strata).
+ Expert in designing and configuring advanced network security solutions to protect global IT infrastructures against cyber threats.
+ Deep knowledge of security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls, to guide network security practices, as well as generic ITIL processes.
+ Extensive expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs across a global network.
+ Advanced proficiency in using network security tools, such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, or Fortinet, to ensure robust security and compliance.
+ Experienced in conducting risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management to identify and mitigate security risks.
+ Proficient in monitoring and analyzing network traffic using tools like Wireshark or SIEM platforms to detect and respond to anomalies.

**About the pay and benefits**
+ Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 35 600 euros to 48 700 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
