Global Master Data Owner

Join client’s team as a Global Master Data Owner and take a key role in shaping data-driven procurement excellence. You’ll bridge finance and procurement, enabling cost transparency, strategic insights, and smart decision-making that drives real business impact.

 What you will do:

Gather and document requirements for integrating procurement data sources (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Business Central, ERPs) into a central data lake Analyze, design, and document data models and flows for procurement analytics, spend classification, and reporting Develop technical requirements for engineering teams to ensure seamless data delivery and integration Define and implement procedures for data validation, cleansing, and standardization to ensure quality and consistency Document data models, flows, and integration processes for both technical and business stakeholders Conduct workshops and interviews with procurement, finance, risk, and IT to clarify and prioritize requirements Translate business needs into technical specifications for data engineers and BI developers Share best practices on data processes and documentation within the procurement community Act as a bridge between procurement, IT, and BI/reporting teams to align on data structures and integration.

What you bring & who you are:

Degree in Procurement, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field, with 5+ years’ experience in procurement analytics, data integration, or data engineering (must-have) Strong SQL skills for querying, data extraction, and validation (must-have) Experience with SAP, Ariba, Business Central, Power BI, Excel, and SQL; familiarity with data lake architectures and integration projects (must-have) Solid understanding of data modeling, schemas, and ETL processes (must-have) Proven ability to define, document, and communicate technical requirements for data engineering and visualization teams (must-have) Experience with data quality assurance and issue resolution across multiple data sources (must-have) Excellent documentation and communication skills, able to explain data topics to non-technical stakeholders (must-have) Proactive, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines (must-have) Fluent in English Nice to have German Ideally, experience working in a greenfield environment and supporting best practices in data management.
