What You'll Do

The Global Marketing Events Senior Specialist will primarily be responsible for managing a number of workstreams to support BCG’s flagship event programs, as part of the Global External Relations & Events (GER&E) team. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting, developing and executing events for senior stakeholders and understand the complexities of working in a matrix organization, across teams and geographies to deliver a high-quality event experience for our participants. 

Specifically, the role will help coordinate workstreams to deliver a high-end event program. This individual may support the event lead to define the strategy and client experience, proposing the overall approach including but not limited to the event narrative, agenda, delegation, production, logistics, visual identity,  budget. 

The chosen candidate for this role will be detail-oriented, creative, strategic, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills and most importantly have a real passion for events.  

 

YOU’RE GOOD AT

Designing events that support marketing objectives ensuring that the format, audience experience and ROI are carefully consideredDriving work strategically with an ability to focus on the bigger picture and small details Project management as you’ll be owning event workstreams and will be required to put a plan into place and then execute against itMeticulous organization and coordination, with a high level of self-initiative and exceptional attention to detail Working in a structured and process orientated way with a high degree of autonomy and ability to self-motivate in ambiguous circumstancesAnalytical and critical thinking, able to propose solutions based on stakeholder requirementsCross-functional teaming with other marketing functions on the event management processes, including MarTech, branding and digital teams Relationship building and influencing key stakeholders, in partnership with leaders, to gain approvals on proposals and recommendations Communicating effectively (written and verbal) to all levels of the firm in an accurate and service-orientated way

What You'll Bring

At least bachelor's degree with strong academic achievements required, ideally in marketing or business administration or other related subjects3+ years experience in event curation and experience design in a global professional services or agency environment is essential 5+ years of professional experienceExperience and knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and toolsAbility and experience working on a global team across multiple time zonesAbility to interact effectively with a variety of audiences at all levels of seniority, across functions and geographies Must have a positive and friendly manner, with a strong service orientation, high degree of flexibility, and the ability to work under pressureProficiency in all software used at BCG; advanced slide-writing and Excel skills essential
