The Houston Distribution Center Manager oversees all operational, inventory, and logistics activities for the Houston DC. This role ensures safe and compliant site operations, effective contractor oversight, optimized inventory management, and execution of end‑to‑end logistics processes. With a focus on continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration, the Manager drives operational performance, cost efficiency, and service excellence.

As a Houston Distribution Center Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing daily operations of the Houston DC, including oversight of contractors performing receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and material handling activities on site.

• Overseeing all inventory responsibilities on site, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective controls aligned with Baker Hughes standards.

• Leading end‑to‑end logistics solutions to deliver on‑time pickup and delivery of goods, while managing logistics spend to meet operational plans and budget commitments.

• Redesigning and improving processes in response to changing business needs, resource requirements, or operational conditions. Developing process improvements that consider broader functional and enterprise impacts.

• Collaborating and communicating effectively with cross‑functional teams, influencing peers and stakeholders to achieve shared logistics and operational objectives.

• Managing a service‑delivery‑oriented unit that provides logistics and distribution services to internal functions and business units.

• Handling work requiring interpretation and judgment, including resolving exceptions, establishing new operating approaches, and applying analytical thinking to unique, non‑standard situations.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree (or high school diploma/GED plus 4 years of logistics experience) and at least 3 additional years of logistics experience.

• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and ability to influence across teams.

• Have proven leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to lead small teams and contractors.

• Be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously across operational and logistics priorities.

• Demonstrate effective problem‑identification and problem‑solving abilities.

• Possess strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
