The Global Lead, Emerging Commerce Platforms will own Mondelēz’s strategy, pilots, and scale-up of new and evolving digital commerce channels, with Agentic Commerce as the primary focus.
This role is designed for a highly curious, agile leader who thrives in ambiguity and is comfortable building new business models, operating structures, and playbooks from the ground up. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and commercial execution, partnering closely with global, regional, and local teams to define how Mondelēz shows up and wins in emerging commerce ecosystems.
What you need to know about this position:
Emerging Commerce Platforms Strategy (Primary Focus: Agentic Commerce)
Own the global Emerging Commerce Platforms strategy, with a strong emphasis on Agentic Commerce (AI-driven shopping agents, LLM-powered discovery, and automated purchasing environments)
Define Mondelēz’s role, visibility, and conversion strategy within AI-mediated shopping journeys
Develop business cases, value models, and investment frameworks to quantify incremental growth and ROI
Lead pilot design and execution in priority markets, translating learnings into scalable global playbooks
Social Commerce & New Digital Channels
Identify, assess, and prioritize emerging commerce platforms including Social Commerce and new marketplace models
Build strategy and define test-and-learn roadmaps with clear hypotheses, KPIs, and scale criteria
Partner with regional and market teams to activate and track pilots while maintaining global strategic coherence
Operating Model & Capability Development
Design new operating models for emerging platforms that sit outside traditional eCommerce structures
Define global vs. market roles, workflows, governance, and decision rights
Partner with Content, CX, Data & Analytics, Legal, and IT to ensure AI-ready content, structured data, and compliant activation
Build internal capability frameworks, training, and playbooks to enable markets at scale
Cross-Functional Leadership
Act as a global connector across Digital Commerce, Marketing, IT, Data, RGM, and Legal
Drive alignment across functions to enable execution of emerging platform strategies
Support senior leadership with clear updates, insights, and recommendations
Success Metrics
Clear Emerging Commerce Platforms roadmap adopted by global and priority markets
Successful Agentic Commerce pilots with measurable incremental value
Scalable operating models deployed across regions
Improved organizational readiness for AI-mediated commerce (content, data, measurement, governance)

5–10 years of experience in management consulting, digital commerce, strategy, or program/project managementProven ability to build new business models or operating frameworks in ambiguous environments Strong technical fluency (AI, platforms, data ecosystems), without requiring hands-on engineering Experience working in global, matrixed organizations CPG, retail, marketplace, or platform experience preferred
Work schedule:
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, some flexibility due to global collaborationSalary and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $140,300 to $192,940; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
