What You'll Do
BCG is transforming the way we deliver on our customer relationship management agenda. As the Solution Architect for our end-to-end lead to cash technical product, you will play a hands-on role in building our current systems and ensuring that reliant systems work in harmony to deliver the best experience. You will support the design, development, and deliver high-impact solutions that expand our internal capabilities and reach.
You will serve as the technical counterpart to the Product Owner, accountable for delivery speed, quality, and ensuring alignment between the technical roadmap and product vision. You’ll work across teams to scale impact and apply emerging technologies to improve the experience for our Partners and key relationship owners.
Define the target architecture and transition roadmap for our end-to-end lead to cash platform, leading key activities outlined below.
Platform Architecture & Governance
Lead governance, standards, and architecture across the End-to-End Client View platform ensuring solutions meet quality attributes (availability, modifiability, performance, security, testability, usability).Set non‑functional standards: performance budgets, SLOs/SLIs, resiliency patterns, observability (Open Telemetry end‑to‑end), and HA for Tableau reportingEstablish strong security foundations — IAM least privilege, encryption (KMS), token scope management, secret hygiene, threat modelling, and AppSec validation gatesMaintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) capturing trade-offs and guiding architectural consistency by codifying guardrailsLeading contributor: A Technical Advisory Board (TAB) will be set up and will serve as a strategic advisory body, providing expert technical guidance to shape the evolution of ClientView.Mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews, partner with InfoSec and Data Governance, and guide build‑vs‑buy choices.
Platform Road map and vision
Design Event BUS platform (Year 1 flagship deliverable) Design and deliver an AWS-based event bus backbone (Event Bridge, SNS, SQS) supporting schema versioning, retries, idempotency, and multi-account failover.API Strategy & integration standards: Establish API gateway, preference Kong and MuleSoft API runtime engine. Event and API schemas in a registry (e.g., AWS Glue/Schema Registry); backward-compatibility rules; PII classification with tokenization where needed; lineage Establish API strategy and gateway policies (authZ, throttling, validation, caching); standardize RBAC/ABAC and secrets managementMake the platform AI‑ready: data classification & redaction, governed retrieval patterns, model gateway, evaluation and logging with privacy controls.Design a multi‑channel, auditable Notifications reference architecture with DR, rate limiting, and data retentionAs BCG scales & evolves it’s Client View (L2C platform) with AI/ML microservices readiness with Isolate ML services behind stable inference APIs; support online/offline features; define feature/data contracts, model versioning, and A/B/Shadow deploy patterns.
Platform view including cost control & optimization
Leverage build & infrastructure as code (Terraform) and resources such as CI/CD with policy as code). Lean into FinOps alerting on workloadsBuild solutions with engineering teams accounting for frontend architecture (Reach.js) composition and design solutions that appropriately leverage SaaS OOTB and/or micro-frontend optionalityYOU’RE GOOD AT
Taking ownership and driving complex technical solutions from design through delivery.Domain driven design, boundary definition, and event taxonomy creation that scales across teams.Selecting and tuning event backbones (Azure Service Bus/Event Grid, Kafka) and designing resilient, observable integrations.Translating compliance/privacy requirements into practical technical controls (PII minimization, consent, retention).Communicating simply about complex trade offs; facilitating decisions and documenting them clearly.De risking delivery via reference implementations and incremental transition architectures.Sequencing long horizon roadmaps for platform products and integration programs; balancing value, risk, and dependencies.Supporting the creation of requirements and stories that include user journeys and the technical detail engineers need (events, APIs, NFRs).Being hands-on with modern event driven architecture solutions as well as cloud and AI technologies, while maintaining focus on delivery quality and scalability.Collaborating effectively with product managers, engineers, and enterprise architecture teams to translate business goals into practical solutions.Balancing speed, quality, and technical depth, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable, and aligned to roadmap priorities.Staying curious and adaptive, quickly learning new technologies and applying them to enterprise-scale challenges. What You'll Bring
