Global IT Project Senior Manager - Workplace Technology

What You'll Do

The primary focus of this role is to lead technology delivery for BCG’s internal office build out, office moves, expansions and AV projects under the direction of a Workplace Technology Program Director. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for all technology budgeting. planning, design, vendor management, stakeholder engagement, project delivery and project closure including Capex closure for assigned workplace technology projects.

What You'll Bring

Minimum of 15 years of applicable experience

College or University degree

Project management certification(s) PMP or Prince preferred

Global experience strongly preferred

Solid audiovisual and IT background with proven experience in technology and methodology

Fluent in English (verbal and written); Additional languages a strong plus

Travel requirement – Approx 40% domestic and/or international



Who You'll Work With

He/she will work closely with key stakeholders, local management, IT, Global Real Estate & security. Working with other stakeholders, the project senior manager is also an important catalyst and discussion partner with respect to broader BCG technology design, delivery, and architecture topics, including areas of contracting and vendor negotiations.

 

This position is a member of the Workplace Technology team. This team is part of the WWIT Organization and is dedicated to consulting, developing, and implementing BCG standard, alternate and exception workplace technology service offering to respective BCG office stakeholders. The person will report directly to the Workplace Technology Program Director and able to work collaboratively with a cross functional teams and possess the ability to work independently in absence of daily supervision, exercising sound judgment and initiative.

YOU’RE GOOD AT:

Manage and lead key stakeholders to define project scope and gather accurate and complete business requirements

Responsible for creating cost estimates, milestones, and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project

Managing technology build out project scope and scope changes through collaborative process including all stakeholders, such as vendors, Global IT, peers, other SME’s.

Risk management – identify and communicate early and often to key stakeholders about project risks, supply-chain issues, etc.

Communicate effectively with business clients and all stakeholders regarding project status, scope, risk, and deliverable timelines

Manage relationships with external vendors and holding them accountable for delivery commitments

Monitor costs, milestones and resources used, and act where these deviate from agreed tolerances

Audiovisual design principles and implementation

Corporate network technologies & topologies

Get the job done’ attitude

Keen eye for building and room construction details and potential challenges

Keep current with workplace technology trends through industry contacts and understand performance of various technologies through benchmarking
