This role leads the development and implementation of consistent methods to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene standards.
 

As the Global IET HSE Health & Industrial Hygiene Leader, you will be responsible for:

Program Leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IET HSE Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene ProgramsLiaising with BU HSE Directors to improve and maintain industrial health hazard identification reviews and health risk analysis processCollaborating with the IET HSE Global Governance Leader to ensure integration and synergy of processes for internal requirements compliance and governance to HSE Management SystemDeveloping, implementing and managing Industrial Hygiene strategy and program to include Health and safety hazards of chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic stressorsManaging the use of approved Industrial Hygiene consultants, where required, to implement industrial hygiene evaluationsDeveloping and manage trainings relevant to scopeDeveloping, implementing and managing Occupational health program in liaison with the global BH Health team. To include oversight of medical surveillance required through the results of IH assessmentsBeing the Program Leader for Mental Wellness & Psychological Safety ProgramsBeing the Program Leader for IET Traveler safety including blood-borne pathogen program, and medical arrangements through International SOS (ISOS)Implementing system for storage and management of SDS to meet requirements of related global regulations

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a bachelor’s degree in industrial Hygiene (or related field) and extensive experience of related field.Have a Diploma of Professional Competence (DipOH) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or similar certification. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) desiredHave practical experience in recognising, evaluating, and controlling health-related workplace hazardsHave experience managing Industrial Hygiene and Occupational ProgramsHave in depth knowledge of Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Chemical Management compliance requirements and arrangementsBe a self-starter, requires minimal supervision, takes full accountability and has strong sense of ownershipFast learner: able to quickly assimilate new functions, structures & dynamicsHave excellent communication skills – both verbal and writtenBe a clear and strategic thinker: strong problem-solving skills; detail oriented, good business acumen and decision-making skills; recognises and addresses systemic issues, leverages & shares best practicesHave excellent time management & organisational skillsHave the ability and willingness to travel 20-30% of timeProficiency in English (spoken and written) is essential for effective communication across teams and with stakeholders.Multilingual candidates are highly valued. Fluency in additional languages should be noted in the application, as this supports our diverse and global work environment
