**The Global Head of Bladder Cancer will be responsible for leading the Global Bladder Medical Affairs team and leading the clinical-commercial optimization of our Bladder portfolio, with a specific focus on TAR-200 and TAR-210 product development, life cycle management and overall medical strategy and tactical plans to achieve the most optimal and appropriate use of our medicines.**
**The Global Head of Bladder will partner closely with the Regional Medical leaders to address the needs of the regions/countries and ultimately patients, as well as the cross-functional partners from R&D / Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access and many other key functions to develop an integrated global medical affairs perspectives, strategies and plans. They will work closely with both commercial and R&D DAS leaders along with the late-stage R&D head for solid tumors.**
**The Global Head of Bladder will guide the team through the development of the strategic and tactical plans and will be a key point of contact to develop an integrated bladder strategy across assets being developed in this area. They will also work with the prostate cancer team to ensure one GU strategy is in place, including one external engagement plan with urologists and medical oncologists straddling across bladder and prostate cancer.**
**The GMALs reporting to the Global Head of Bladder will deliver World Wide Medical Affairs Strategic Plans, Worldwide Integrated Evidence Generation Plans, Medical communication and education plans.**
**With each compound focused GMALs being part of the cross-functional 3M (medical-marketing and market access) and CDT (compound development team) teams, and running their own Worldwide Medical Affairs Strategy Teams (W-MAST), the Global Head of Bladder will coach their team in engaging with stakeholders, influencing without authority, and building strategic and prioritized plans to optimize the development of the portfolio.**
**The Global Head of Bladder will collaborate with the Head of GU in the US, in the other regions as well as the Global Medical Affairs GU Strategy and Execution Lead, the Global Head of Bladder External Engagements and pipeline, the GU commercial Lead, Market Access Lead and R&D Bladder Disease Area Stronghold to ensure the best plans are in place for our leading late stage assets TAR-200 and TAR210. The Global Head of Bladder will report to the VP of Global Medical Affairs, Oncology.**
**Responsibilities include:**
**Lead Bladder GMALs and team to develop global medical affairs strategy and plan for the compounds based on prioritized regional needs. In addition, partner closely with the prostate cancer GMALs and other solid tumors partners to ensure one team strategy.**
**Lead Bladder GMALs and team to work with the CDTs to ensure integration with the overall global compound strategy, resulting in one global R&D and Medical Affairs compound development plan, inclusive of developing a Target Product Profile representing medical affairs global and regional value needs.**
**Provide single Medical Affairs voice into the creation of compound development and LCM strategies, plans and trial design from phase IIa through phase IV.**
**Responsible for pre-launch medical activities**
**Responsible to ensure all global activities follow J&J Compliance principles, e.g. Health Care Compliance, etc.**
**Qualifications - External**
**This position requires a minimum of an advanced degree (e.g. MD or PhD)**
**A minimum of 6 years of combined relevant experience in a medical affairs is required**
**Additional experience in clinical development and/or other scientific function in the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage.**
**Experience in Oncology, and ideally in bladder cancer is strongly preferred.**
**Strong interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills and collaboration/team building skills are required**
**A demonstrated track record leading highly matrixed, cross-functional work teams comprised of high-level managers and executives is required.**
**Global mindset required, with direct experience in multiple markets, proven ability to partner cross culturally/regionally is preferred as well as an in-depth knowledge of study methodology, study data reviews and analysis.**
**Success in this role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating agility and resilience under pressure. This involves effectively managing competing priorities to ensure strategic alignment and timely execution, while maintaining a focus on delivering high-value outcomes.**
**In this position a successful candidate should have excellent knowledge of study execution, benefit risk management and lifecycle management.**
**Highly innovative with the ability to drive a complex and changing environment and effectively manage and resolve issues within the TA.**
**Act with a sense of urgency as patients with cancer need better treatment options**
**Act as a medical spokesperson for external audiences.**
**Also required is strong experience developing and managing strategic relationships with medical experts/opinion leaders. Proven business understanding.**
**A minimum of 30% international travel is required.**
**The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $160,000 - $276.000.**
