Global Food Systems Director

Corteva Agriscience presents an exciting opportunity for a **Global Food Systems Director.** Indianapolis is the preferred location and other US locations may be considered. **Key Responsibilities** **Global Food Systems Strategy** + Develop and lead the global food systems strategy aligned across business units, functions, and regions. + Coordinate with regional teams to deliver strategic objectives and shared goals. + Integrate new technologies and pipeline products into a comprehensive food chain strategy. + Identify and act on emerging trends in the agrifood value chain and consumer landscape. + Advance “food is health” initiatives aligned with enterprise priorities. **Market Access & Trade Enablement** + Lead proactive strategies to secure market access for Corteva’s Crop Protection and Biologicals portfolios. + Provide customers with tailored technical recommendations to enable freedom to trade and market. + Drive food value chain acceptance of Corteva Integrated Solutions (Biologicals, Genome Editing, new crop protection actives, Seed Applied Technologies...). + Anticipate and mitigate secondary restrictions impacting Corteva’s existing or future solutions. **Strategic Partnerships & Account Management** + Develop and manage high-priority global partnerships across the food value chain. + Collaborate across business units, regions and functions to activate and deliver on partnership objectives. + Build business value by generating demand for Corteva’s solutions with key food companies, retailers and processors. **People Leadership & Operational Excellence** + Lead, empower, and grow the Global Food Systems team to deliver strategic impact. + Foster a strong, purpose-driven team culture rooted in performance and accountability. + Manage global resources and budget in alignment with enterprise priorities. + Lead internal communications to elevate Global Food Systems visibility and share outcomes across the organization. **External Influence** + Represent Corteva in key agrifood value chain associations and policy organizations, shaping industry dialogue and external perceptions. + Provide thought leadership to advance company’s position on critical issues at the intersection of agriculture, food systems and sustainability. **Who you will work with** This role reports to the **Senior Director, Global Business Enablement & Strategy, Crop Protection** , and collaborates with teams across the global and regional businesses, including: + Regulatory & Stewardship + Crop Health and Biotechnology R&D + Public Affairs and Sustainability + Sales & Marketing You will also engage frequently with external stakeholders, including food companies, retailers, certifiers, industry associations, and subject matter experts. **Qualifications** **Education & Experience** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, Public Affairs, Food Systems, or a related field. + 15+ years of experience in agriculture, food systems, or related sectors. + Deep expertise in ag business, food systems, value chains, public affairs, regulatory engagement or policy advocacy, particularly related to agriculture. + Proven experience managing strategic relationships across the food value chain (e.g., food companies, processors, retailers). + Global perspective on food system dynamics and value chain challenges. **Technical & Functional Competencies** + Strong understanding of global agriculture markets, crops, players, products and trends. + Working knowledge of emerging trends across the value chain and consumer landscape and their potential impact to the Ag business. + Strategic thinking with a proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and business growth + Solid understanding of crop protection, biological and seed products and their role in sustainable agriculture. + Familiarity with food sourcing policies, secondary standards, and regulatory frameworks. + Experience influencing public/private policy to support market access, business growth and sustainability outcomes. **Leadership & Communication** + Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. + Proven leadership across cross-regional initiatives or global networks. + Experience in strategy development, planning, and team leadership. **Personal Attributes** + Curious, courageous, and purpose-driven, aligned with Corteva’s values. + Proactive and adaptable, with strong cultural awareness and interpersonal skills. + Comfortable navigating complexity in a dynamic, multicultural environment. + Fluent in English;
