Global/EMEA Corporate Finance Manager – HSBC Account

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Corporate Finance Manager is a senior role reporting to Global Finance Director, with oversight for the Corporate Reporting for the EMEA Region and also the consolidated Global Reporting for the account. The Corporate Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with JLL financial policies, tracking and control over the operating expenses of the client account, providing JLL Corporate finance deliverables including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and monthly variance analysis. This role will support the client Account Leadership team to minimize risk, ensure compliance to the client contract and  maximize JLL account CI. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

JLL Reporting 

Controlled management of the balance Sheet and P&L reporting 

Own reporting on profitability of the client account 

Manage and optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of finance processes. 

Ensure robust financial controls in place including all Balance sheet reconciliations & compliance with SOX reporting 

Oversee month-end and year-end close activities and ensure integrity and accuracy of reported results and reconciliation with client billings.

Oversee project billing process and ensure proper calculation, invoicing and recognition of costs and related revenues/fees on a timely basis.

Managing Global account intercompany transactions to ensure accurate cost and revenue recognition.

Support the Regional and Global Finance Director with ad-hoc business requests.

 

Budgeting and Reporting – Corporate 

Support and coordinate the activities of the finance team across both EMEA and Globally: 

Information 

Report production 

Financial Administration 

Ensure that accurate and timely financial information is provided to all members of the management team 

Production of annual budgets in conjunction with JLL team and client finance team. 

Maintain People Trackers utilized for Budgeting and Forecasting of Account Resources.

Maintain Risks and Opportunities and variance commentary for monthly reporting.

 

Strategic Direction & Management 

Provide clear direction and financial advice to the Account leadership team. 

Liaise and support the group’s primary financial managers/units 

Ensure the team is structured to maintain & exceed financial expectations 

Develop and maintain all relevant policies and procedures with respect to relevant financial & support services associated with the Corporate Reporting.

Implement all new processes and procedures as required by JLL finance 

 

Relationship Management 

Be proactive in developing and managing team / business unit relationships ensuring that the expected service levels are achieved across the account.

Encourage an environment that supports teamwork, financial transparency, co-operation & performance excellence across the region.

Manage relationship with central corporate finance & ensure a good working relationship 

 

Data Management, Policies & Procedures & Audit: 

Ensure data integrity of the systems across the region and audit data from time to time 

Ensure that appropriate process and controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of all transactions 

Ensure that all financial accounting and reporting is audit worthy and in keeping with recognized processes 

Ensure all finance staff are well trained on the financial systems & are effectively able to extract data

Have a comprehensive technical and functional understanding of all finance and accounting systems & processes.
