WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR WORK

As an FCC Transactional Advisory Subject Matter Expert, your target will be providing proactive, risk-based advice on complex transactions across a wide range of products and geographies. You will support front-office and control functions to ensure compliance with AML, sanctions, anti-bribery, and other financial crime regulations while enabling responsible business growth.

We need someone like you to help us in different areas including:

Transaction Advisory – Review and advise on complex transactions (e.g., project finance, M&A, export finance, lending structures), identifying and mitigating FCC risks.Sanctions & Export Controls Analysis – Provide guidance on sanctions and export controls issues in sensitive transactions, including dual-use goods, defence, and critical infrastructure.Country & Sector Risk Evaluation – Monitor high-risk jurisdictions and sectors, flagging developments with potential financial crime implications for SCIB transactions.Stakeholder Engagement – Serve as a point of contact for Front Office teams to provide timely, pragmatic compliance advice.Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and continuous improvement.Sovereign reviews and credit risk reviews from a FC lens

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years of experience in a financial crime compliance, risk advisory, or legal role within a corporate investment banking environment, consultancy, or regulatory institutions.Exposure to corporate and investment banking products and cross-border transactions is strongly preferred.

EDUCATION

Qualifications in Financial Crime Compliance, AML, or Sanctions (e.g. ACAMS, ICA, CGSS) are desirable but not essential.Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in law, finance, humanities or STEM.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Strong ability to identify and assess financial crime risks in complex, cross-border transactions.Sound judgement in proposing proportionate and pragmatic risk management strategies.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; able to distil complex information into clear recommendations.Strong understanding of international sanctions regimes (e.g., OFAC, EU, UK), anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks, and anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) regulations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish highly desirable.Comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple deadlines, and engaging with senior stakeholders.Must be fluent in Spanish and English.High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability.A strong understanding of reputational and geopolitical risk,
