Reporting to the Global Public Relations Sr. Manager, the Global Public Relations Sr. Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development of key press materials, core project workbacks, managing daily monitoring and reporting alongside agency partners and supporting global product launch executions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Involvement in every aspect of launch planning, for ideation, to planning, to execution of both virtual and in person launch moments. 

Own core project management tasks like the development, alignment and tracking of workbacks, and material alignments with key stakeholders

Develop written PR materials (press releases, Q&As, messaging documents) for product launches

Work with agency partners to manage coverage tracking for daily and monthly reporting; ongoing and at key product launch moments

Liaise and collaborate with team members across the globe to understand the needs of each market 

Recommend new areas and angles to stimulate awareness of Motorola globally 

Bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to the team and our way of working

Effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments within Motorola for maximum impact

Think creatively and identify new opportunities for the team

 Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience 

At least 5 years of experience working in PR or communications; PR agency experience preferred

Ability to travel globally, if needed 

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong written skills; able to write concise, engaging and informative copy

Strong understanding of media landscape/evolving communications environment 

Strong oral communication skills; willing and able to speak up in meetings (internal and external) and ability to hold conversation with media

Strong project management skills; detail oriented with time management skills

Strong problem solving skills coupled with analytical abilities 

Experience with earned media reporting and competitive research

Flexibility; we are always moving so quickly and efficiently, this person needs to be comfortable with switching directions quickly

Must consume the media on a daily basis and be up-to-speed on current events 

An interest and understanding of the tech landscape

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $90K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
