ResponsibilitiesPosition Purpose: Events play a critical role in advancing StoneX Group Inc.’s brand and marketing objectives. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Events, the Global Events Manager will serve as a key leader within the events team, taking ownership of individual virtual events from planning through execution. The manager must ensure flawless execution—overseeing every detail with precision, timeliness, and accuracy.
We are seeking a seasoned professional with a track record of success in managing all facets of virtual event planning and delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a dynamic and engaging presence, along with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse internal and external stakeholders. Strong skills in expectation management, creative problem-solving, and the ability to balance a team-oriented mindset with assertive, diplomatic leadership are essential to succeed in this role.
Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Virtual Events - 25%Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define event goals, objectives, and target audience Coordinate all logistical aspects of the virtual event, including speaker management and technical setupBuild registration sites (within On24) for all non-series virtual eventsCoordinate speaker communications, logistics, and deliverablesCoordinate with Event Marketing Team and Central Marketing to organize event promotion and other deliverables (invitations, graphics, etc.)Oversee the event's technical aspects, including live streaming, webinar platforms, and online chat functionsProvide technical support and troubleshooting during the event to ensure a smooth experience for attendees and presentersMonitor event engagement and attendee feedback, adjusting as needed to optimize the event's successConduct speaker training sessions to ensure preparedness and smooth deliveryManage event agendas, timelines, and overall flowIn-person Events - 75%Source, request, and evaluate hotel, venue, and vendor contractsDevelop comprehensive meeting specifications and event documentationReview Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for accuracy and alignment with program objectivesCollaborate with third-party vendors, including transportation, décor, and production companiesCoordinate with signage providers and work closely with the StoneX Graphic Design Team for branding materialsManage speaker logistics and communicationsOversee agenda development and on-site executionCreate and produce meeting materials such as name badges, table tents, and custom collateral as needed Other:Support the Global Events Team with various responsibilities, as needed QualificationsEducation & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and work experienceRequires at least 3-5 years of related experienceHas knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the meetings industrySkill Set:
Experience with building and running virtual events (On24 preferred)Strong problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills The ability to work independently and with minimum direction Robust attention to the details Ability to utilize computer software, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointPreferred:
Experience with Salesforce and/or PardotCertified Meeting Professional Fluent in Spanish
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8 hrs/day Ability to travel to one event every two yearsThe ability to lift up to 30 poundsRequires in office 4 days a week
