Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Group Property function to be part of the Energy and Sustainability Services team. We are looking for an Energy Projects Development Manager to lead early-stage development of Energy efficiency and Scope 1 and 2 decarbonisation projects through from strategic roadmap to technical/financial feasibility and support through business case approval and project delivery.
What you will be doing:
Lead project teams and technical experts through the development of energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects from Gate 0 through to transition to the delivery teamEnsure utilisation of the agreed Project Management toolset to progress projects to handover to the project delivery teamReview and buy-off (through appropriate SME's) of technical and commercial proposals and supporting documentationIdentify and ensure availability of necessary project delivery resources to support the delivery scheduleMonitor and control of project progress in alignment with committed milestones and wider reporting requirements and stakeholder expectationsKeeping abreast of and tracking technologies and commercial innovations to capture opportunities to develop innovative solutions to meet group energy commitmentsIdentification of new energy project opportunitiesOptions appraisal and technology selection Consultation and collaboration with procurement & legal functions and contractors to advance projectsPreparation of project approval documentation for Investment committeesInfluencing and management of key internal and external project/programme stakeholders.Position Qualifications:
Has Company-wide outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures, and ways of workingA degree, post graduate diploma or equivalent in a related subjectGood interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate all levels both within the client organisation and externallyIT skills including MS project, Excel, and Power BIPreferred Requirements:
Experience managing a variety of technically and commercially complex projectsEnergy management, sustainability and/or building services experience within an industrial environmentExperience in energy/infrastructure contract arrangements and/or project management in an industrial environmentAble to contribute to strategic planningExperience of dealing at high level within business organisationsExperience with capital approval processes and managing the necessary stakeholder expectationsRegional Benefits:
