Position Summary:
The role of the Global Demand Planner lead will be to develop a rolling 12-15 month demand plan to support the monthly SIOP cadence, and to collaborate with Commercial teams to improve forecast accuracy at the item level, revenue generation, customer service and improved inventory balances.
Work You’ll Do:
Develop a monthly baseline forecast within the product hierarchy and item level in both pieces and dollars by using statistical forecasting methodologiesCollaborate with Sales, Marketing and Product Management to gain market intelligence and promotional activities to apply and shape the baseline statistical forecastAnalyze customer orders to identify trends and market conditions to predict future demand and make necessary adjustments as neededWork with Sales and Product management to understand timing of items for New Product Introduction to ensure forecast is in place within agreed upon lead-timesLead and drive the monthly SIOP Demand Consensus meetings with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Commercial Finance to align to the future demand forecast by fact-based data setsEnsure that transition sku’s forecasts are managed in coordination with Supply Planning, Product Management and Sales to prevent E&O on existing items and material shortages on new itemsCollaborate with the Procurement team to provide forecast visibility to sourced vendors to ensure capacity availabilityResponsible and owns demand forecast accuracy for assigned product lines and business units by measuring both volume and mixAlign with Materials Management ABC:XYZ methodology to prioritize sku review within the demand forecastAbility to address item level sku’s that have not had demand in 2+ years to Commercial teams for possible sku proliferationIdentify and address demand planning issues and providing recommendations for improvements in processes and technology
Team:
The role of the Global Demand Planner will be part of the Global Materials Management team. This role will report to and support the Director of SIOP and Demand Planning.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field3-5 years experience in demand planning, supply chain management or inventory controlStrong analytical skills and experience working with data to make informed decisionsAbility to collaborate with cross functional teams and communicate effectivelyDetail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditionsProficient in demand planning software and tools (e.g., SAP/APO/IBP, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis, Logility, Excel)Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with advanced demand forecasting techniques, such as statistical models, data science and machine learningCertification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPF, APICS CPIM)Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in demand planningWho we are:
