Job Description

Category Strategy:

Build up and maintain portfolio strategy in line with the BA needs and define a well balanced portfolio to minimize risk, to ensure flexibility, to get an advantage position on the supplier market. Define, deliver and update a Sourcing List. Identify and onboard new potential suppliers where the need is identifiedIdentify any value improvement activities and steer implementation.To present and align the strategies with BA stakeholders

Commercial:

To handle all negotiations at the Category Supplier To negotiate and maintain necessary global contractsTo support Advance Purchasing with complex / difficult negotiationsManage suppliers in representation of the BA

Escalation Support:

Support Region Purchasing for Quality, Supply and Commercial escalationTrouble shooting: Support the plants as next escalation level in case of supply problems (quality or delivery)

Reporting: 

Share market situation with stakeholdersTo report Categories performance in regular baseForecast expected price development 

QualificationsBachelor degree; in exceptional cases an equivalent professional experienceAt least several years in Purchasing, thereof a few years in automotiveStrong Purchasing Portfolio Handling (Strategy, Supplier List, Market Know How, Portfolio Analysis, Forecast) & ContractingNegotiation experience : RFQ, Offer analyze and comparison, NegotiationRisk Management Claim, Finance, LegalAbility to work within a remote team Project Management experience is a plusFunctional or project leadership experience is a plus Several years exposure to international business Experience of living abroad is a plusFluent English and good German language skills is a plus (written and spoken)Business trip to be expected (up to 30% of working time max)

Additional InformationCompensation package - 14th salaries plus performance bonusLunch Allowance - in line with local regulationFlexibility - Flexible schedule, hybrid work.Home-Office - Employees received 1,00€ net for each Home-Office day, paid monthly.Work Abroad - Possibility to work abroad within the EU for 20+20 days per year (two different countries).Vacation days - 22 days per year + 3 extra days the following year (considering absenteeism). Seniority days added starting from 3 years in the company.Referral Bonus - A bonus of 500€ or 750€ (depending on the seniority of the candidate) is paid for each referral.
