We Commit to doing things the right way—growing with purpose and leading kidney care with integrity and innovation.As the Global Category Lead for Capital Expenditure, you will be responsible for overseeing expenditure in the sub-categories of Machinery & Equipment, Buildings & Infrastructure across over 35 production sites worldwide.
Your tasks:
Lead all strategic and some tactical activities for the assigned category in the respective regionsLead and provide global oversight for the global category and its respective suppliers with a key focus on optimizing spending under BCC / LCC sourcing.Negotiate, implement and manage contracts within assigned [sub] categories under consideration of business lines’ targets and in tight cooperation with business lines’ managementDevelop and implement global category strategies as well as coordinating with local procurement teams as necessary to align resources, contributing to the development and implementation of category strategy, project design, and execution.Monitor and evaluate market conditions impacting the assigned category and determine appropriate actions to benefit or protect FME from any changesSeek the strategic input of key stakeholders and align the category strategies accordinglyDrive the supplier selection and development process together with other interface functionsInvolve key suppliers in innovation processesInitiate and implement cost reduction actions pertaining to the assigned commoditiesCoordinate the tactical procurement processes, e.g. RfQ, negotiations, finalizing agreements etc. for the assigned categoriesMonitor supplier performance and develop a best fit supplier portfolio (best cost country sourcing)Consolidate and optimize the internal requirements and demand across regions/plantsEnsure usage of eProcurement tools and processes, such as SRM to increase efficiency and effectivenessYour profile:
Successfully completed studies in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration or comparable educationMinimum 8 years of experience in Global Category Management of a manufacturing, multinational company.Good knowledge of manufacturing technologiesDeep understanding of machine and process validationUnderstanding the impact of changing a single component of a machine on downstream processesAbility to read and understand 3rd party single component technical documentationsAbility to read and understand machine documentations (3D, 2D, BOM…)Good knowledge about products, materials, final product applications and functionsGood knowledge of global markets, including experience in Best Cost Country SourcingFluent in English (German a bonus)Very good IT skills (SAP, MS Office, SRM, CAD or 3D Viewer)Our Offer For You:
