GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS

Goldman Sachs' Global Banking & Markets division provides a comprehensive suite of financial services to institutional and corporate clients globally. YOUR IMPACT

Become part of the Fees and Commission team, where you will engage in collaboration with brokers, exchanges, finance & business partners and technology teams. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in financial analysis and risk management to support business enhancements, address complex challenges, and contribute to superior client service delivery. As a business specialist, you will be responsible for implementing effective solutions that drive profitability and reinforce client relationships.

OUR IMPACT

The Fees and Commissions team administers income, fees, and interest charges for client-facing and internal businesses, affecting millions of trades each day. Core responsibilities include rate management, validation of charges, reconciliation, adjustments, payment processing, cost allocation, system development, regulatory compliance updates, strategic project oversight, cost optimization and responding to business queries. Strategic decision-making is supported by data analytics using platforms such as Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL. 

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

Develop specialized knowledge and refine processes to enhance operational efficiency.Collaborate with technology, business units, and external contacts to drive workflow improvements.Provide timely support for client and business inquiries, fostering best practices and team development.Identify control deficiencies, recommend robust solutions, and oversee fee functions for futures and listed derivatives.Ensure commission, interest, and fee rates are accurately maintained in all firm systems.Guarantee precise collection and payment processing for daily trade volumes.Supervise the full billing lifecycle, including validations, configurations, adjustments, reconciliations, invoicing, and payments.Serve as a technical resource to enhance processes and strengthen controls in partnership with stakeholders.Encourage collaboration across regional teams and continuously adapt to evolving client, business, and regulatory requirements.Lead projects focused on profitability and compliance with new regulations, including preparing readiness and change management strategies.Partner with Business Intelligence to identify and mitigate risks using data analysis.Establish project scope, define objectives and milestones, address bottlenecks, and present actionable solutions.Synthesize and present complex data insights to senior leadership, translating business requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills And Experience We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree required4+ years of experience in banking, accounting, financial services, or a related fieldSelf-motivated and accountable, able to manage competing priorities efficientlyHighly collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changeStrong problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment skillsExceptional client service skills; adept at communicating complex issues clearlyProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; quick to learn new applicationsExperience in data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and accessDemonstrated expertise in financial and risk management including compliance and operational riskProven ability to execute end-to-end complex projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocationSkilled at identifying and managing process bottlenecks, providing escalation management, and balancing business needsCompetent in interpreting and condensing large datasets for meaningful stakeholder insightsExpertise in project documentation, evaluation, and review over medium to long-term timelinesReady to take on greater responsibilities as requiredSuperior organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
