Position Summary:
The Global Assistant Manager, Marketing Operations, plays a critical role in optimising marketing processes and systems across global and regional teams. This role is responsible for managing the Wrike project management platform, improving cross-functional workflows, and supporting campaign execution through strategic systems knowledge. While not a people leader, this position serves as a central operational resource, ensuring marketing programs are executed efficiently and aligned with best practices.
This position contributes to the overall marketing operations by assuming essential process and system functions in support of the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations. It also collaborates closely with automation, CMS, and email marketing teams to enhance operational effectiveness and ensure
continuity across systems and campaigns. The role is expected to drive results, reduce waste, increase the velocity of pipeline and marketing funnel additions, and contribute to revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Wrike & Project Management
Own global marketing project management platform configuration, onboarding, training, and documentation.Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track project progress and team efficiency.Serve as the central process owner for Wrike or other project management tools across global and regional marketing teams.Drive adoption of standardized workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with global and regional marketing teams to streamline campaign execution processes.Identify bottlenecks and recommend scalable solutions to improve operational performance.Support automation and CMS teams by aligning Wrike workflows with their operational needs.Conduct regular analysis of marketing operations priorities to inform roadmap and resource allocation.Lead prioritization and conflict resolution across segmentation and distribution workflows, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) while balancing competing global marketing priorities.Campaign Operations Support
Assist in implementing global and regional campaigns, including email workflows, segmentation, triggers, and nurture flows.Ensure adherence to global best practices and optimize campaigns for regional effectiveness.Monitor campaign performance metrics and support UTM tracking and conversion data integration.Demonstrate the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and effective communication skills, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless coordination across projects.Strategic Systems Knowledge
Possess working knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, Contentstack) and marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo).Understand how content workflows and automation strategies are built and executed.Communicate technical requirements and enhancements to the marketing tech stack teams.Backup & Support Functions
Maintain a working knowledge of the Email Marketing Strategist position to provide support as needed.Understand strategic email marketing principles to support cross-functional collaboration and continuity.Leadership & Mentorship
Serve as a resource for colleagues by providing training and sharing expertise with those who have less experience.May lead cross-functional projects to improve marketing operations and system integration.Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
· 5–7 years of experience in marketing operations, digital marketing production, or project management.
· Proven success managing project management platforms (preferably Wrike) and improving global, cross-functional team collaboration.
· Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms and their integration into enterprise marketing and commercial technology stack architectures.
· Experience with dashboard building, metrics tracking, and reporting tools.
· Strong understanding of digital content workflows and usability principles.
