Advanced Manufacturing Engineering focuses on the development of capability and methodologies of metallic conformation and processing technology applied to Flexible Pipe Manufacturing. The selected candidate will help define Global AME Flexible Pipe Manufacturing strategy and the roadmap to execution.

The Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Metals role will lead globally and cross-functionally to deliver on project objectives. Developing, organising, and mature manufacturing capabilities in the area of flexible pipe manufacturing and be the interface between design, commercial and manufacturing when it comes to employing new and creative methods and processes technology solutions.
 

As a Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Metals, you will be responsible for:

Defining/communicating to all levels the technical manufacturing strategy, ensuring all manufacturing related activities comply with our overarching strategyActing as consulting reference for all technical subjects related to manufacturing and industrializationAdvising personnel in the Design, Materials, and Manufacturing communities on the application of manufacturing and inspection processes and related quality systemsWorking with engineering/commercial teams on defining pipe structures that satisfy customer requirements, maximising manufacturing productivity and identifying/addressing manufacturing capability gaps that requires industrializationOverseeing the overall industrialization process, ensuring that all parties involved are following the industrialization procedureWorking closely with AME Project Management and Process Engineering supporting complex manufacturing issuesContributing to leveraging industry best practices, aimed at improving shop productivity and process safetyGuiding, training and providing technical counsel to new and experienced engineers, technicians and specialists in flexible pipe manufacturing

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field, or Chartered Engineer accreditationHave proven experience in Industrial or Design EngineeringHave proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company, including senior leadershipBe able to demonstrate expertise in leading multi-disciplinary and global project teams to perform analytical and laboratory research workHave solid aptitude for developing and conducting complex problem solving initiatives, including statistical analysisHave experience of mentoring Engineers and team membersBe willing to travel when required
