GL Accounting Manager
Description Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half is looking for a highly skilled GL Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger activities, accounts receivable processes, and financial reporting within our organization. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, collaborate with various departments to optimize invoicing and collections, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. This position also involves preparing journal entries, supporting month-end close procedures, and assisting with payroll and administrative tasks as needed. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely invoicing, payment application, and reconciliation of customer accounts. • Collaborate with the sales and dispatch teams to produce accurate invoices, investigate discrepancies, and uphold agreed-upon rates and discounts. • Monitor aging accounts receivable and implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue payments and bad debts. • Maintain and update customer profiles, tariffs, and rates in the billing system, ensuring records are reviewed and reconciled regularly. • Reconcile billing system data with the general ledger to ensure alignment and accuracy across financial records. • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the general ledger, ensuring timely reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies. • Assist in tracking capital expenditures, maintaining fixed asset records, and documenting investments, including fleet vehicles and equipment. • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and consolidations for multiple entities. • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by leadership. • Provide backup support for payroll and administrative functions as needed. Job Order: 03600-0013277140 Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. • Proficiency in month-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and financial statement audits. • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Familiarity with Acumatica or similar ERP systems and billing software. • Expertise in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent problem-solving and initiative-taking skills.
