The Role
As a GL Accountant (EMEA team), you play a crucial role in managing and reporting financial information for Grass Valley.
Responsibilities:
+ Management of month-end closing activities which covers accounting and reporting on US GAAP as well as consolidation of Grass Valley entities in EMEA where applicable.
+ Responsible for timely booking of accounting entries, analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts, including (intercompany) account reconciliations, during each month-end close.
+ Supporting the statutory reporting processes including annual audit reports and CIT filing
+ Ensure compliance with all statutory filing requirements, Company and Accounting policies
+ Propose and prepare monthly intercompany transactions for settlement.
+ Close collaboration with other departments on a variety of topics: ranging from Accounting to Treasury, as well as AP and AR.
+ Assist in implementation of new processes and system implementation when required.
+ Preparing analysis of financial performance where required.
+ Provide support for ad-hoc projects and activities.
What you will need to be successful:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
+ Minimum 3 years of solid working knowledge of GAAP financial reporting
+ Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel
+ Basis skills in other Microsoft Office applications
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
+ Able to create and maintain solid working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills
+ Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
+ Quick learner and a team player
+ Proactive, responsible and independent
